If not, we will research the issue or direct you to an outside expert. Your first call should always be to the Employers Group. When you become a member, you will be given information on how to contact a Helpline consultant.

Your membership provides exclusive access to more than a dozen reports covering California and national employer HR practices and compensation levels. Published by Employers Group Research Services, these reports contain data for nearly 1,000 job classifications and 40 HR topics - all designed to help you estimate current labor market rates, analyze HR practices and decide what's best for your company. Free teleseminars are held several times a year during the lunch hour. You can access these interactive teleseminars on key HR topics by phone from the comfort of your own desk.
Senior executives and HR professionals have long counted on our monthly newsletter, "PEOPLE & PRODUCTIVITY" for its timely, pertinent articles, featuring leading authorities in the HR field. It includes a section with the latest state and federal legislative news and a legal section about court decisions affecting employers. The newsletter is mailed each month to members, and also sent out electronically. Current issues are available only to members and are posted a month later on our Web site for the public. Members also receive a monthly online newsletter called Email Extra! This newsletter covers fast-breaking and need-to-know news affecting employers, as well as Employers Group’s training schedules and featured products. It also provides information on the latest HR surveys.
We are the voice and "watchdog" for employers on all legislative and court decisions dealing with employer/employee rights. A statewide grassroots organization and legislative program gets employer views in front of our elected representatives. We also keep our Web site updated with all current bills before legislators.
The Employers Group Legal Committee, made up of some of the top labor attorneys in the state, files amicus briefs and letters defending the interests of employers in the state and federal appellate courts, including the California and U.S. Supreme Courts.
For current reference manuals, law books, periodicals, self-help materials and surveys, our staff librarian is on hand to help Employers Group members find the information they need-when they need it!
This is one of our most popular benefits. Updated once a year and available on our Web site, it covers requirements on more than 30 topics, including At-Will Employment, White Collar Exemptions, Safety Rules, Violence in the Workplace, Federal Posting Requirements and Wage and Salary Administration.
Join other EG members who make themselves available for media interviews on HR topics. This is only done with your express, prior approval. However, a little positive PR is good for business.
